I currently have an OCZ Agility 3 120Gb and have a sata 2 setup. I am deciding whether or not to get a combo port sata 3 and usb 3.0 PCI card. Will I notice a big difference in terms of boot time. I am not concerned about transferring data since this is a windows boot drive. Thanks.

PCI card won't do it.

PCI is slower than SATA 1.
PCI-E (2.x) 1x is barely faster than SATA 2.

I'm guessing you want one because you have a older PCI_E 2.0 motherboard.
I think PCI-E x1 is 500 MB/s. IIRC That's just over 100 MBs faster than SATA 2.
I don't think you'd see a noticeable increase in performance. Just a second here and there off loading times.

I thought about doing the same thing but money would be wasted as he said it may shave off a few seconds here and there, nothing more.

dont buy the card.
save your money.
buy a better mobo that supports sata 3.
mobo's are more or less pretty affordable nowadays.
most of the times you can find good ones in combo's and save.
