About 3 weeks ago, I was asked by owner to place order with Bell for a mobile wireless internet that would work like nomad.
We have in total 5 different services with Bell so I knew I could get a really good deal. Online i found netgear mobile wireless router, which is exactly what i was looking for.
So I called Bell and representative ( Jennifer Wilson) has answered my phone. I told her I am interested in that netgear mobile router , since it is company I asked if it could be unlimited. She put me on hold for about 10 min and get back to me saying this she can arrange this wireless hub unlimited for a super good deal 20$ /month no equipment fee since we have bunch account with Bell. I asked for her email or phone ( got only email) to contact her back, since I must get approval from owner. 30 min later i send her email with call back request. i have again confirm price and services, asked for which model we would get ( 1210c is what she told me). So i have had this confirmed and was told i should receive withing few days.
Next day i called 1-800 number to see if order has being shipped.Weirdly, they could not find it. So i emailed back to Jennifer asking her for an update. She called back, said there was small mistake in address and that this was corrected and she gave me order # to confirm, again saying it would be shipped withing few days.2 days i call back again to see status of order. This time i was told order exists, but there is a problem and that it can be shipped only June 29 and that i would need technician to have it installed.I said it is mobile internet and there is no special installation needed, just must be activated by Bell tech support on phone. They said anyways, it cant be shipped before June 29. Again i send email to Jennifer, she said that there was yet another mistake and it is really can not be shipped sooner then June 29. I asked in email if i could get regular model sooner ( 1210), was told its same shipp time.So i waited until June 29 to call, was told order has being completed (packed and waiting Purolator to pick up, but tracking not yet available).2 biz days later we did not receive package, called back to get tracking.Got transferred like 5 times, was on hold for about 1h, finally they said there was mistake on the package and Purol is holding at their pick up center.Apparently mistake was corrected and could go pick it up same day.I went- package was there BUT it was registered for a gas station 2 blocks away from us ( address was under our company and my name as reference). They did not give me package because company name did not match and that is why it was on hold. So i called back Bell ( they are only ones who can do changes) and asked to have name corrected and i asked why gas station was written on package since i gave other existing accounts as reference and there address and name were 100% correct. i was not given reason why, just out on hold waiting name change request confirmed with Purolator. Next day we finally got package. It was not netgear mobile router we requested...It was a regular DSL router ( which we already have) , in welcome kit name was gas stations cross street and written - back up DSL.Now we have DSL internet with bell and it is working fine and we are not paying anything for equipment. This thing was suppose to cost 20$ a month. Trying calling bell to see where mistake happened, they we keep transferring me between bell mobility and bell internet departments and noone could do nothing or explain nothing.I sent email Jennifer to call me back since only she knew what i ordered.Until today she never called me back ( but promised to get back at lunch, afternoon, evening).Turns out deal i got does not exist. These mobile routers can not be unlimited and do not cost 20$ /month. It looks like Jennifer had to meet quota for sales for end month and decided to "fake" an order. If that would be honest mistake, im sure someone would tell me on phone, apologize and give me my real options. I am still waiting for her manager to contact me back .
I apologize for such a long story, but it took me 3 weeks and hours on phone to finally not receive what was ordered. If you ordering with bell and it sounds too good to be true, most likely that offer does not exist. If anyone knows contact info for managers/supervisors for bell , I would appreciate if you could post. If this happened to biz, i can only imagine what kind scams they create for residential services.
