Please recommend a device can let me do the following:

1. Stream videos from PC to TV,
2. Watch pictures and videos from network hard drive (connected via TL-WR1043ND router) without using computer - which I guess will require some kind of wireless keyboard.
3. Stream videos from internet wirelessly bypassing PC - I guess not all websites and formats/codecs would be supported, but the more the better.

PC and TV are in different rooms, ~15-20ft away.

Price: <$100

Thanks!

WDTV Live Streaming is probably the easiest one to use, there are lots of others from Boxee, Patriot, Pivos, all kinds of Android on a stick from Hong Kong, etc.

There are probably over 100 devices that would work. Depending on budget and other factors you could consider a modded wii, Xbox, boxee box, roku, etc.
Go on amazon, newegg or any other website and search media streaming.

Any advantages between Western Digital WD TV Live and Patriot PBO Alpine? They look identical to me.

Would any of them work directly (without PC) to view sites that use Microsoft Windows Media Platform? What about Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder? If these do not work with Flash, is there a unit <$100 that supports Flash?

How do these compare in terms of speed over WiFi N?

What about $74 Android 4.0 MK802: can it access network drive and can I stream videos from PC via this android stick on TV?

Not to mention that most recent Blu-Ray players support all those functions as well, and some of them sell for as little as $35 (older models, refurbs, clearance sales).
