I've been watching for this mower to go on sale for the past month. It started at $479 on sale for (the current online price) of $449. Just last week it dropped to $399 and I picked one up. I was in HD again today and noticed it has dropped again to $369 despite what the website says. Going in tomorrow to get my price adjustment.

Alternatively they also have the slightly higher end model on sale as well, the 20333 which the only difference that I am aware of is a blade clutch (engine still runs but blade stops.)

Would you think HD will give me a credit if I've bought the very same mower 3 weeks ago at $399?

Great price indeed.

Yes they would, the policy is within 30 days generally excluding one day sales, but ymmv for that depending on the associate ect.

Strange. i've seen reviews for this one that have been poor. I've had this mower for a few years and I despise it. I also suspect they haven't fixed it since it's a design flaw.

If you use the mulcher, good luck. This mower constantly fills up with grass at the discharge chute section and it just keeps accumulating everywhere under the deck till it stalls. I have to flip it over and clean it out.

Not sure if this is the same one though.

ya that's strange, even on the lawn care forums I've asked around Toro in the brand they always recommend this model included.

How long have you had yours and what is the design flaw?

dondock have you had any issues?

I can't speak for recent models. But I purchased a used 2000 Super Recycler model (the one with the brake cluctch, which I find extremely useful) about 8 years ago and have used it a LOT. Mowed my lawn, my gf's lawn, my dad's lawn every week to 10 days every summer since then and it only needed repairs twice. You can bet that IF it ever dies, I'm buying another Toro.

Our lot is 75x200 so the mower gets lots of use, the blade is always kept sharp, oil changed, drive wheels greased etc etc

I have a SR4 Super Recycler with a non steel deck (aluminum ?) we use it as a mulcher most of the time and unless the grass is super long and very wet the mulcher works without a hitch. "discharge chute scetion and it just keeps accumulating" There is a part that goes in the rear discharge that has to be inserted when you use the mulch function. If the mower is not clean before use, the deflectors in the deck will not allow the grass to recirculate and be recut as you mow.

This mower was originally purchased because it was so highly rated in Consumers and it has certainly lived up to the ratings. The only conclusion that I can glean from your appraisal is that we do not have the exact same mower.
