Something came up and I need to withdraw about 500$ from my cc.
I was thinking about buying an ipad or something else with my cc and selling it for the price i paid.
do ppl buy new ipads on kijiji? or what else should i try to buy?

I don't see why someone would pay the price you paid for a private sale of anything, unless it's something not openly available to the public... like for an iPad, why would I buy from a private seller and take on the risks associated with that, if I can just order one from Apple for the exact same price? I think you would have to find something not easily accessible to others, e.g. if you lived near the border, you could buy an iPad from the US where prices are lower and sell it in Canada for less than the retail price here.
Personally though I would probably just get a cash advance from the credit card, it seems like too much of a hassle to maybe save a few bucks (and maybe end up losing money).

Buy a giftcard from a store you plan to make a purchase from, or Gas station gift card etc.
Personally i would not buy a ipad off Kijiji for the same price as in store

With something as expensive as an iPad, I'd feel more comfortable buying it from an authorized dealer.

What's so urgent you need to withdraw $500 from your CC?

Just make a cash advance and pay whatever the cash advance fee is, it will be easier than buying something and selling it and collecting the money.

Pay bills for friends? Ask anyone who has any bill that they need to pay to give you the $$ and you will put it on your CC?
Also some food for thought:

With a $2,000 cash advance, you’re looking at up to $100 in fees and then around $42 in interest expense if you pay it off in one month. So you end up paying around $142 to borrow $2,000 for one month.
Does getting a cash advance ever make sense? I suggest you explore every other possibility before getting a cash advance on your credit card. The only circumstances where this isn’t likely to become a financial disaster for you is if you’re in a dire emergency and you know you’ll be able to pay it back within the month.
Do your own research, just google searched cash advanced and copy and pasted one of the top results..

Buy like an Esso Gift card or something(if you drive a car) and keep it for yourself.
