Hi

Fancy buying one of the two above. No sure which one to choose but leans more towards the Charger. I will use it mainly for long distance drives. Please I need your advice and I dont mind a few other options.

Those seem like 2 very different cars.
I'd personally go for the Infiniti. The charger looks like a cop car, andi bet depreciates badly.

Infiniti... Higher resale value, thinks it looks better (i do at least), probably more reliable..

Also consider as someone above said, a BMW 328i or 330i, Mercedes c300, Audi a4... Those are really nice too and similar. If you're willing to buy second-hand you could even buy a m3 with relatively low mileage :) What I'd do at least lol

Save money and buy a used charger...hopefully with the police upgrades. By virtue of that alone, you'll have a better time on the roads with people moving out of your way.

With that kind of budget, you can get a fully loaded Charger R/T, which should be a much more enjoyable highway cruiser than the Infiniti.

It will use more gas, and depreciate more, but maintenance should be less.

I just spent around $55k, and got a Dodge Charger SRT8, which will blow the doors off the G37X.

Just take a Charger V8 for a spin and think what, just listening to it idle was enough for me to want a V8.

If you want a good highway cruiser, the cheaper Charger V6 with the 8-speed and regular gas probably is much cheaper to drive than the Infiniti, and should still have acceptable performance.

I was thinking of getting an G37 until the redesign of the Charger in 2011.

Which variant of the charger? For under 50k, you can get a V8 300C AWD, which will blow the G37 out of the water. Also the charger/300 is a much bigger car.

For 50K, you can get a slightly used SRT8. What G37?

The OP doesn't need to compare the G37x and Charger. The Charger will blow it right out of the water, because of the V8 option. Not only that, but the Charger is riding on a MB E class platform which is quite proven after all these years. Not to mention the size of the car compare to the G37.

If have family and always drive far distances, will take Charger hands down. G37x for the bachelors and no wife/kids.

I agree with the above and you get that muscle feel of the look.

As Many others have already said. The Charger.

For example, I could sell to you a Brand new 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8, 6.4L Hemi W/MDS, Super Bee PKG for $47,685
Including about $2000 of extra options....

You get much better bang for your buck if you buy used.

My suggestions are cross shopping a used M3, M5, C63 AMG, E63 AMG.

I like the Charger over the Infiniti, I think they look great. Really distinctive and aggressive.

The G37 does nothing for me.

This would be a good idea... personally I'd take any of those over a Charger... they'd even retain their value better.
You can find a m3 with very low mileage with that budget with plenty of years to come.

Both the Charger & the Chrysler 300 are looking top notch this year in design & love the new upgraded interior quality.

We had a G37 as a rental car & were not impressed with the quality of the interior of it as compared to Lexus or even our old Nissan Maxima.
