This is an interesting issue: I bought an iPod Touch 4th gen to use with my Nike+ basketball shoes. I brought it to my parent's place and noticed the wireless connection disappeared after a few hours. I thought it was just the router acting up. I took it to my apartment, and immediately noticed that my wireless connection was dropping again. I checked my netbook and couldn't connect to the network, and I couldn't access the router's admin panel either.

Unplugging the router and plugging it back in gets it up and running. When the iPod connects, sometimes it crashes it, sometimes it doesn't. I've set fixed IPs for the iPod and it seems to alleviate the problem, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Anyone else encounter something similar?

Both routers were Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GL. One was running dd-wrt, the other hyper-wrt.
