Has anyone ever gotten any nice perks from banks when getting professional line of credits? or know what are some good things to ask for? Only asking because all the banks I've talked to, seem to really want students to sign with them...

What's a professional line of credit? What kind of perks? What does this have to do with students? Can you give an example please.

for dental/med school LOCs... all the banks compete for your business and many offer perks to separate themselves.

They will usually offer prime rate and appropriately higher limits for doctors and dentists, other health professions can usually get prime + 1, other than that I haven't heard of any perks. I imagine engineers and accountants might get similar incentives to normal student lines of credits. If you're in a professional program just shop around the big five, if you're not then you're not getting these perks anyway.

Guess this is the wrong place to ask then. But so far I've gotten offers from RBC of their Platinum Avion CC for free + misc stuff. Scotia offered the Momemtum infinite card for free. Both for the duration in school.

For the professional line of credit, Scotia Bank offers prime interest (3% right now) and the maximum borrowable amount is $250,000. As perks they include a free Scotia One bank account while in school + Scotia Bank Gold Passport Visa (5000$/month limit) with a waived yearly fee (129$ /year I think). The Visa card also comes with 300$ worth of points when you open the account.

pretty much all the banks give prime
rbc/scotia give the highest limit
they're pretty much the same except scotia showed me i'd be getting prime if i kept the debt with them after i graduate to start a business
whereas rbc kept telling me i'd have to come back and "discuss" when the time comes
i heard out west there's this group where they only invest in med/dent professionals that's pretty popular
i don't know much aboot it though
