I visited a place to repaint my sister's yaris. It was a partial paint job on the rear sides, not a full one.
Unfortunately just after 2 weeks, the paint had 3 rust spots on the rear quarter panel, because road debris got kicked up and damaged the paint. I realize it and went back to the shop, because I remember there was suppose a protector sticker in the area, so the paint wouldn't get damaged.
When I was back in the shop, I asked why they didn't put the stickers on and now my new paint is damaged. They claims beacuse it wasn't on the invoice. So fair enough but without the protector stickers i will be stuck with a lot of chips and rust spots in the future. I had 3 chips in just 2 weeks… But the shop was very nice and ordered the OEM protectors free of charge, they asked me to come back the next day to install.
I went back today, they put on the new stickers and i found out they have ordered the wrong ones, the size were a lot of smaller, did not cover the necessary area and the shape was like a cruve, also did not correspond to original shape. It's very obvious that they were the wrong ones. I talked to the tech who put on the sticker, he also claims that they were the wrong one but only realize after he put both of them on. He took them off for me and I was so disappointed. The owner had left so I went to Toyota and bought myself the two stickers, turned out to be $85 a set, as suppose to $40 for the wrong ones the owner ordered
I didn't want to spend extra money on a car like this, i paid them $1400 to do the job and had to spend extra, spent my time and gas to travel. The worst part was the damage on the new paint, tech said I will have to repaint to fix the chips, not a simple touch up paint job.
