I got a 08 civic and whenever it rains water some how drips inside onto the inner door panel and seat (while driving on the highway with window open only an inch). Even after the rain has stopped, while driving the top of the door somehow retains water and drops come inside. I have never had this issue with any previous car, hell I could drive with the window down fully on roads highways with little rain getting in with previous cars.
I checked the door lining and it looks flush and not worn out, any civic owners have this issue? I am suspecting its just how the doors were designed.

Rain gets in because window is open a crack?
Well, I know the part you mean where water sits and drips in my 00 civic did this but this thread is just ridiculous! Obviously rain will come in! Get those window visor things?

Drives with window open in the rain, complains that water is getting in.

It sounds like you would need to have the doors adjusted tighter because as you're driving at high speeds, the door glass seals pull away and rain comes in. I had the same problem with my Pontiac Grand Prix and once the door latches were adjusted, the problem went away. We take care of door glass issues like this.

It's not the door lining. It's the car. I have the same problem with my CSX as well as my sister 06 civic. It's a design flaw. Get window visors. That will solve your problem.

What car were you able to do this with?
