I need to get a tablet and I know that the galaxy is coming out but if I can save $$ I will.
This will be for movies and games for the kids. I'lds like to get it this weekend so any reason I shouldn't would be great. 3g would have been nice but no biggie.
By the way this is at FS and BB.

If you want it to entertain your kids then it's a great solution.

No, definitely not. Its a good Tablet with two caveats. I used to own one before I sold it.
1. Horrible to very horrible screen viewing angles. You have to view the Tab directly or its practically "unviewable".
2. There's a HOME button located on the bezel, directly where your thumb is located, when holding. As a result I was returned to Home screen frequently. Poor design and it cannot be disabled. Why Acer added a Home button beats me, when there is HOME on the screen.
I would advise against purchasing especially with the Nexus now available. The Nexus 8 GB is the same price.

I have one and find it works great for me. It has all the features that seem to be missing on newer(ie Nexus) 7" tablets like MicroSD card slot, built-in GPS, front and rear facing cameras. Ever since Acer provided an ICS update the tablet has seen even more use. The only things some people might not like are the viewing angles of the screen and battery life but I think it boils down to personal preference. A better idea would be for you to try it out and then return it to FS & BB if it doesn't meet your needs.
