Montreal & Ottawa to Hawaii - $539 roundtrip after taxes - throughout schedule!

Delta just loaded some really crazy fares to Hawaii in their system. They're crazy for a few different reasons, and it's not just the price.

Reason #1 - Well, the price, of course. I wouldn't be telling people about it if it wasn't ridiculous.

$539 roundtrip after taxes. For comparison, the next cheapest airfares from Montreal to Hawaii are in the $900s.

Reason #2 - The range of dates

It looks to have affected a huge chunk of scheduled flights, from late August through to April 2013!

Reason #3 - It's not just Honolulu, but Maui, Kauai, and Kona too!

Yep, pretty much every major Hawaiian airport, and all for the same price. Usually Hawaiian destinations outside of Honolulu are more expensive to get to.

2. Click on the Calendar icon, and choose a date combo that looks good to you. Click on it.

3. Choose your Outbound flight. Choose your Return flight. Then click on the button that says Book With Delta to be taken to Delta.com

As a reference...In Feb 2012, paid ~$730 pp round trip to Maui (from Toronto)

If you put select the calendar icon you will get a calendar with a bar graph showing the cost of flights available.

I can not find a cheap flight that does not route from Ottawa through Detroit and Los Angeles. This makes it a 19+ hour journey.

Ala Moana Hotel is a good bang for your buck hotel in Honolulu. Close to Waikiki and next to the big outdoor mall.

539$ is a great price if you can get it! We paid 580$ 4 years ago for YUL-HNL in September, and that was the lowest I had seen it go ever... However I agree with above poster, with 2-3 stops, the flight gets really long and not something I'm ready to do

These are GREAT prices!! I would say if you can find a flight between now and the end of August, it's a very good time to go. The weather is hot as you can imagine, but it's not unbearable. If your kids don't have to be in school in the fall and the flights are still at these prices, accommodations will most likely be cheaper. You may also be able to find a very reasonable timeshare unit, as it is considered off season.

I would have to say the price of the flights is key to when you decide to go, and they are double in December.

There are a lot of fun things to do there in the summer....good luck!!

I'm not looking to get to Hawaii, but I am trying to make it to Dallas for a wedding this fall. I have been checking flight prices for the past 6 months (YOW -> DFW) and the cheapest I've seen before today was $570 with American Airlines/Westjet. Today I thought I'd give Delta a try since seeing one can get all the way to Hawaii for $540.

To my surprise. YOW -> DFW is $410 CAD taxes in!! THANKS OP!!!

Delta compared to Westjet charges 25 dollars (i think) per luggage, your first one is not free. so you might as well add that to your cost when comparing. plus 50 dollars.

Yeah, I just noticed hmmm... Between my spouse and I, we would most likely only check 1 luggage. So $25 added on is still a decent deal. Whats the maximum weight for a piece of checked luggage?

UPDATE: Delta looks to be putting their prices back up now. You may be able to snag some on Orbitz (price still seems to be verifying cheaply, but probably not for much longer). Click through to Orbitz at the bottom of your Google Flight search.

That is/was a crazy price for all in. If you are flying into Kona, check VRBO for places on the Big Island. We did that for 2 trips and did very well.
