Does anyone know where to get the most discounted quality kitchen faucets?
Any tips regarding installation?

I would stay with the well known brands as they usually have lifetime warranty, such as Grohe, Hansgrohe, Kohler, Pfister, Moen. You haven't given any details on what style you're looking for or whether you'd be willing to order from the States but I've been sucessfull in finding then on Kijiji. Make absolutely sure they're brand new, still in the original box and a name brand and you can find some amazing deals. As a matter of fact one seller mentioned he is posting a couple next week that will be about 60% off, I found this out when I was too late in purchasing his last one.

I hope this info helps.

I bought the Moen kitchen faucet from Costco and ended up taking it back. The pullout attachment felt really cheap (and light). I do agree with buying good quality fixtures...my Danze bathroom faucet has a great design, but the brushed nickel finish is coming off. I suggest going to a place where you can check them out so you can see the working parts and materials.

There's cheap Moen and decent Moen, from what I've heard. I've also heard their warranty is NOT advanced RMA, which effectively makes it useless.

Has it changed in recent years?
My father has usually just brought the defective part to Home Depot and they swapped it on site as all Moen's are lifetime warranty.
Granted, he hasn't had to do that in a good 5+ years, so they may have changed their policy.

what does rma mean?Return Merchandise Authorization.

I'm now purchasing all Price Pfister products after I called them last year regarding a scratch on a shower fixture. They never asked for a reciept and didn't care where I purchased it or how long I had it for. They shipped me a new part free of charge so I trust there warranty.

There are so many styles and finishes now that in order to get a really good deal such as at least 50% off of a higher quality fixture it needs to be on sale and even then it's not normally 50% off unless it's a danze, peerless or other lower quality fixture.

Had great experience with Moen in the past, and bought a new montecello series bathroom faucet from them at Lowes. Lifetime warranty and they shipped replacement cartridges no questions asked and fairly quickly last time. This jives with what plumbers have previously told me, that Moen products are easy to fix as parts are pretty standard and easy to find.

Their newer stuff looks cheap with all plastic cartridges. But then again, the solid looking Crane faucet I had on my old sink went through brass cartridges almost yearly - water carved a channel in the brass way before the rubber washer even had time to cake up/fail. I can see this as being why most manufacturer moved to ceramic cartridges

This still happens. my neighbour did it last week and I have done it several times. It doesn't even have to be the place you bought it from. HD will just do it, no questions asked. I agree that warranty replacement couldn't possibly be easier with Moen (and thus disagree with what JAC "heard" about Moen's warranty replacement)

My FiL attempted to return his Moen to Home Depot. They refused to take it, and referred him to Moen. Moen, in turn, did not offer an advanced RMA.

So, YMMV with Moen and HD.

I bought some stuff online from Moen Faucet Warehouse in NY. Their service is excellent and they shipped via USPS. I never had to pay duty or taxes on at least 3 different orders. The stuff I ordered would have been special orders through a big box store like Lowes or a specialty bath shop and would have been much more expensive.

FaucetWarehouse (http://www.moen-faucet-warehouse.com/)

Seems like they no longer ship to Canada using USPS. Might want to call or email them to confirm this. Sorry about that.

If you're interested in Bathroom fixtures, check Kijij, there are a couple people selling brand new bath, sink and kitchen fixtures in several finishes. A friend bought one, it was over 50% off list, brand new in the original box and a brand name. Best off all it was local, no tax with lifetime warranty.
