Hey,
I am planning on doing some kitchen renovation this summer and was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy kitchen counter top and cabinets in GTA area.

We did ours just before Christmas and used a place in Burlington called "Interior Works". We had looked at a large number of suppliers from big box to smaller custom shops and these guys were able to offer a great solution using custom cabinets for less than most of the spots that were reselling stock cabinets. Highly recommended.

from there website it seems like they do installation as well. What if I just want the product and install it myself?

They should be able to quote you a price with or without an install. I don't think the install price was too much, and their installers were really polite and professional.

New Canadian Lumber did a kitchen cabinet project for me and they cam in at about 20% lower then the next best quote.
A+ work and planning. For countertops I've used hardflex.ca without any issue. Not the cheapest but punctual and professional.

We ordered our countertops from here in Ajax: http://www.millworkhome.com/, they had a good selection and the best price for what we wanted (laminate - so maybe call ahead to see what other options they have if that's not what you want). We picked up the cut countertop in Oshawa and installed it ourselves. We were impressed with their knowledge about it all as well. If its not too far, its worth visiting them.

I am looking for granite. Has anyone ever bought from Rona? My cousins once bought the countertop from Rona and it cost them around a 1000$ for laminate without installlation.
