My CC offers me travel insurance for the first 22 days of my trip, but I am travelling for 26 days.

Is it possible to get insurance through PCF or somewhere else for the last 4 days of my trip? I've been looking at quotes online and reading the terms and conditions and I can't find it anywhere.

TIA

EDIT:
So, I did some more investigating, and according to Kanetix, ETFS, GMS, Travel Guard Chartis, TIC and Travel Underwriters provide top up coverage ontop of credit card coverage FYI.

Also, if you are a student, greenshield provides medical insurance if you are not opted out. Coverage runs from beginning of school year until the day before school starts in the fall.

Often if you call the credit card company you are buying the tickets with that is providing the insurance... they will be able to extend the coverage for you so you don't need to deal with a 2nd insurance company. They might just charge a small fee for the extra days, and i've heard in other cases they just do it for free.

Read the fine print of the credit card insurance. Some will only cover you if the entire trip takes place within the number of days insured (so in your case you would only be covered if the trip was 22 days or less).

For these cards you receive no coverage if your trip is planned to be longer than the number of days the card covers.

You can call the cc company and just ask them to extend the insurance for the full trip. You'll have to pay an additional fee though.
