As the title states I am going to be purchasing a 2012 Cruze LT.
Are any of these extras worth it?
Extended warranty
Paint & Fabric Protection
Rust Module
Tire & Rim Warranty
I am pretty sure the last 2 are not worth it.
**I should add that I work at the dealership so I would be getting these things for a much cheaper price
I will be keeping this car until it is dead so 10+ years

How much of a discount ( % wise ) on the extended warranty would you get ?

Extended Warranty: you may want it if you are keeping the car for a long time.
Paint/Fabric Protection: No. You dont need that. If you really want those, wrap the car in clear vinyl and use 3M for fabric.
Rust Module: I am not quite sure of Daewoo's rustproofing, so its really up to you.
Tire/Rim Warranty: No, you dont need that. If you really want it, get something from Crappy Tire.
Since you work at a dealership, get them to throw in as much extended warranty as possible. Modern cars should be quite fine mechanically wise (with regular maintenance), its the electrics that may start to go bad as you go further into your "10 year" projected useage.

The only thing I'd buy is the extended warranty.

An electronic rust module?! Take your business to another dealer; one that won't scam you with bogus extras.
Oops, sorry, you work there. I guess you are obligated to throw away your money.

No. GM has one of the best powertrain warranties in the business. Plus parts are cheap.

I work at a dealer too. That stuff is a sham. Rust module is a snake oil as well as the paint fabric protection. Its basically wax for paint and a sealer for the fabric.
Unless your running low profile tired with 18+ wheels. You will not need wheel and tire warranty.

Extended warranty if you can get a good price, otherwise the rest is BS. I died a little inside when I heard my friend paid for the electronic rust inhibitor when he got his chevy last year.
$10 for a can of scotchgard for the fabric, if you're concerned.

Yeah, my husband takes his car to Krown, so I was planning on doing the same. VIN etching, do you mean Globali?

How much for the extended warranty, and how much of an extension is it? 3rd party warranty or direct from manufacturer? These are important considerations.
At the end of the day it's a matter of whether you think between years 5 and 7 of owning the car (typical length of extended warranty), will you need $1500+ worth of repairs to justify the cost of the warranty? You'd need some pretty major failures and problems to rack up that kind of repair bill.
Question to everyone else -- what do you guys think of the warranties that come with these services? E.g. getting the rust inhibitor just for the warranty, or paint sealant just for the extended warranty on paint defects and stuff. Anyone have experience making a claim through these warranties, or are the warranties as much BS as the products themselves?

Worthless. You wont do better than GMs 6 year rust perforation warranty.
If the Op really wants the extended warranty, it should be the GMPP plan. GMPP can be bought at any dealership, so you can shop around. You can also buy it from the US.

The thing about electronic rustproofing is in theory it works and has been used on ships and pipelines successfully. But on cars it doesn't work and is a scam for the most part. Dealers make a lot of $$ on them because they sell it as a rustproofing package. Traditional proofing can be done pretty cheaply, around $150 every two years. These electronic modules don't protect ***** !!
