XBox Skins!!

Hey,

I'm just wondering if any of you guys have skins for your console? What do you think of them? Do you prefer the look of the original Xbox? If you peel off these types of stickers, does it screw up the casing? Like does it leave a sticky residue?

a friend of mine has one... and his clings on via static... o_O ... so no sticky residue.. im not sure if that one does the same tho .. altho theres always goo-gone that wont fix the residue.. :P

I have the chrome skin and it looks really nice. Only $20 too from www.skinefx.com (http://www.skinefx.com). I placed the round sticker which covers the green circle on top of the machine slightly askew but I was able to fix it easily by removing then reapplying the sticker.

is it like a sticky material? or is it like those vinyl stickers that joshmxpx had asked as well?

like is it those type that u can put on windows and peel off easily? or does it have some kinda adhesive to it? just in case in the future i peel it off and it has some sticky crap under it....

i read on the site that the skins are made using some kinda vinyl so yea i dont think there will be any residue.

Yeah, it's a high-quality vinyl and very easy to apply. I just call them stickers. The site I mentioned above has the best prices on the internet and they're Canadian too.

My chrome Xbox looks exactly the same as the picture already posted. It looks terrific as my TV is also silver-coloured and the GameCube next to it is platinum so it matches its surroundings.

Just checking this out, looks pretty cool. What color Chrome would you guys recommend? Nice site, just ordered a blue chrome with s-controller skin and a brushed aluminum with 2 s-controller skins for my brother for xmas. Hopefully it gets shipped quickly.

yea i liked the blue chrome as well....but to keep it looking nice with my other electronics, i went with the mirror chrome. but blue was definitely my second choice.

i ordered mine on monday night (the 29th), so I'll let you know as soon as mine arrives, so you'll have an estimate as to when you might get yours.

Update: I just got my xbox skin in the mail....it looks awesome


but the thing I was really pissed about was that I got charged a $10.88 customs fee :evil:!!!

Talamasca, didn't you say yours got shipped in from Ottawa?? ahh thats so crap. I emailed the company to ask them why it wasnt shipped from the Ottawa location.

I talked to the company, and apparently decalgirl.com purchased this company a while ago....so they're now located in the states....thus I was charged a customs fee....oh well its still really nice..

Sure, I'll put some pics once I get home...the only thing kinda screwed is my center jewel.....as the jewel on the xbox is slightly arced and curved...when you try to put the sticker on, it has some air bumps in the way...i was able to smooth it out on the first day, but it came back..everythign else is fine though. i dont even mind the air bumps too much anymore, you can't see them from far back. i might just peel it off anyways and keep it the way this one looks:

did u leave the center jewel on? i'm going to take mine off. its crinklying up a bit and the air bubbles bother me heh....perhaps i just didn't put it on right....i think it looks fine with the xbox jewel showing anyways...ubt yea i'll take pics of before and after and post it later tonite
