What's a good quality mp3 ripper? I use a sony S545 mp3 walkman and the free version of Winamp. (Winamp has built in ripping but mp3 ripping costs extra, boo.)
The last thread for mp3 ripper appears to be from '09.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't done any ripping in years, but the last one was CDex (http://cdexos.sourceforge.net).

For accuracy, CueTools/CueRipper.
Exact Audio Copy is too inefficient.
The caveat of CueRipper is that it only rips the entire CD, whereas EAC can rip select tracks.

Most of the software listed above do not offer secure ripping (ie. maybe the rip is error-free, maybe it isn't, it is a crapshoot). With the free options out there, there's no reason to use a ripper that doesn't generate a rip log.
