Can anyone who has a Nexus 7 comment on how good the screen size is for reading comics?

Thanks

i'm wondering that too since on a playbook and galaxy tab 7 it wasn't so good in portrait mode but decent in landscape (too much scrolling though). will hopefully get mine tomorrow and see if the higher resolution will help.

7" is kinda small for reading comics. I'd suggest the ipad if reading comics if your primary interest.

Screen size is plenty big. The lighter weight is worth the sacrifice on screen size compared to a 10 inch tablet. 7 inch tablets have their place in the market.

I put about a dozen comics on and it's readable, maybe it's the app but sometimes it doesn't display full screen and you need to pinch to zoom. for the most part 90% of the comics I read were ok to read but not ideal. It wasn't like "wow this is great I can read comics amazing" it was like "wow I can get away with reading comics on this thing".

Not much help I know.

No it was helpful thanks. I just wish Google released a larger screen size, but if it's pleasantly readable than I don't mind. I wish I could see a youtube video or something though to actually see it.

everyone will have their own opinion.... mine is that 7" is too small for me to read comics, unless specifically formatted for 7" screen

i know i'll have trouble reading anime scanlations for the most part...

My TF101's only use is to run Mango. I think anything smaller would be hard to read regardless of DPI.

the above video answers the question pretty well.

imho, it works for me. i read one issue and the text was sharp enough to read in portrait mode w/o zooming in once. it's better than the other 7" tablets and the portability and lightness makes it great for reading on my commutes.

if it helps, the app i was using is called komik from the play store.

As other have stated, comics are readable on a 7" and I would use it in a pinch or when I am out and about.
But I also have the 10" Transformer Prime and it definitely offers a superior experience for reading comics.
If reading comics is very high on your list of things to do on a tablet then I would definitely recommend a 10" over a 7".

Comics, Magazines and web browsing is perfect on a 10.1 Tab. Too much pinch and zoom on a 7". If you've never had a 10.1 then you will like the portability of a 7". I use an app called "Perfect Viewer" for the Comics.
