just helping a friend to negotiate a deal but what's a reasonable profit when i talk to the dealer ?

When we got it back in 2010, we got the 2011 Comfortline for $940 off MSRP no problem...it's a fair price

If your friend joins the APA, they can be put in touch with the APA's dealer of choice, who give a good deal.
If not, it seems many people on RFD have been happy buying their VW from afretes.
