Hello,

I hope my mail get to you in good health? I'm in some terrible and horrible situation, My family and I came down here to Dubai, U.A.E for a short vacation, Something very dreadful happened to us, I am sorry I didn't inform you about my trip to Dubai for a short vacation. We got robbed at gun point on our way to the hotel by some hooligans, They stole all cash, credit cards, cell phone and other valuables. Our passport is intact and safe, the Hotel Management seized it because we're owing them. Also our other belongings are being retained by the hotel management pending until the time we pay the Hotel bills. We need to pay the hotel bills and get back home.

We've been to the Embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all, Our return flight leaves in few hours from now but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. I will be very grateful if you will be able to assist us financially with some money to sort out the bills and also take a cab to the airport, I'll refund it to you as soon as we arrive home. I promise! Let me know if you can help us out? Please respond as soon as you get this message, so I can forward you my details on how to send some money to us.

Thank you and best regards,
---

Do you ever reply to these? You should, it can be fun messing with these people a bit. I like to pretend I'm Hank Scorpio from the Simpsons.

Thought I was the only one that did this. I once had this Nigerian arse going back and forth for a good 3 days talking with Art Vandelay.

With the poor state of Ontario's economy I'm sure this was written by Dalton McGuinty.

Make a fake email account, and reply back.

That was one I have not seen before. Nothing like infuriating scammers and wasting their time.

Call the phone number, inform them that you are a Microsoft technician, and that they have a serious virus on their system, that should be removed for a fee.

Expect a LOT more of these after the recent Yahoo breach. Some Rogers customers affected, too.

haha I had one of these happen to me at work except it came from a long time customer. I still didn't believe it but at least checked in and told the person they were sending out these emails some how. Was kinda funny.
