Why bother posting this cold deal while a substatially better deal is out there - CIBC aero card with 15,000 points, and apparently 20k if you do it in a branch location

Do they waive first year fee as well?

I suggest OP to do some research by himself/herself. There are many better deals than this one.

Yeah, they've been doing that for a while now for the Aerogold.

Well, you could get both... just cancel both before the first year is up.

There is no mention of the waiver on their site now, but it was free a month ago.

Interesting find OP. So Amex is offering this Aeroplan card for $60/yr that is not the aerogold. The bonus is only 5000. But you still get 1 aeroplan point for each $1.

It's something to apply, get the bonus points, then get rid of it. You get a credit hit, but 5000 points is better than nothing.

Can you elaborate?

EDIT: nvm, self-educated on google.

Has anyone applied to both cards? Do you still get both bonus offers? I checked the fine print online and both cards state that bonus offer not valid to existing card holders but that's it...no mention of what happens if you apply to both
