Hi all,

Like others who have mentioned on here, my screen is a little separated and loose form the bezel. I want to get an exchange but most likely I will refund it at Staples. If I tell them about the screen problem do you think they'd give me an exchange? What if they think it's not in "sale-able condition"? I have one week left to refund or exchange it.

Plus, even if I exchange it and get another one there might be a chance that the same thing will happen.

This sucks - hope Google does something fast.

Yeah return It, It's a manufacturer defect; That's what your warranty Is for!
If It keeps happening for the other ones you get If you do get a exchange then ask for a full refund because who wouldn't mind the screen being off the bezel?

OP, if you don't mind me asking, does your tablet show more bleeding on the left side (assuming that is the loose side) of the screen than the right?

I have a bit of bleeding on the top left and a tiny bit on the bottom left. I might try popping the cover off and loosening screws.

Yup, only the left side like most people.

Thankfully no bleeding on mine, and only very very very little screen not flushed. I tried to XDA trick, popped open the back cover and what not. Didn't have a screw driver that small, gonna try again when I find one. But even then, the screen issue is extremely minor on my unit.

Phandroid reports that, in some cases, the screen creaks whenever pressure is applied to it. Over time, some users have even reported that the glass begins to protrude over the edge of the bezel. A thread on XDA Developers suggests that it's easy enough to fix by taking off the back and tightening a couple of screws, though

Although doing the fix yourself may void the warranty

There's no warranty voiding. The back cover pops off easily enough and no security stickers or anything. I tried loosening screws to see if the screen bleed would get better, it did but not enough and my OCD is in overdrive now so going to exchange it. Of course staples no longer has stock right now. Sigh.

On the plus side all my screws were tight and no screen creaking.

With plenty of reports on this now I see where Asus skimped to get that price down. Sad.

Only the few are lucky to not have received this problem.

People wanted a cheap tablet, what did you expect? Magic?

damn... was planning to buy it, maybe i will wait for the batch that is better. Hopefully they will fix it soon, otherwise this will become "another android tablet" as apple mentioned

Yeah, will keep folks posted on the replacements. Looks like next week for the next shipments as I can't find any in stock.

Excellent tablet aside from this, a lot more useful than the ipads I used to play with.
