Housing near NUS

Hello, can anyone comment on how and best way to find housing near NUS?

Problem is that all the residence has been booked up for the August intake. In need of a condo/apartment and having a really hard time as the only available ones seemed far away from the campus. Now I'm just trying to help but what are some sites I can visit here in Canada to locate some vacant apartments in Singapore?
