I wonder how much earlier we have to go to line up. I know for Staples when they have their door crashers, people get there 2 hours before doors open...at least from what I've experienced. I hope it's not that bad for Sears!

Hmm I haven't confirmed yet with the Sears in Newmarket. However will make it for the Sears at Fairview Mall for Sunday. So basically its 200 gift cards for the entire weekend huh? Or it could be less if they run out? Which I highly doubt it right? Since 100 for the first customers for each day. Hmm... Don't want to end up going on Sun morning and not receiving a $25 GC.

$15 here in NS. I went to one Sears and they didn't have the size I wanted so they sent me to another one. At the other one they gave me another $15 card. I didn't expect that. When I tried to use both they said one per customer and then asked how I got two. I explained that the other store didn't have my size and sent me over to this location. Then they let me use both.

Well, that was interesting! There were only a handful of people at the store when it opened at 9am. Got the card easily. Got a jacket that originally cost $119 but was marked down to $42 because of their warehouse sale. Used the $25 card and a Visa gift card I got from friends, so my total was (essentially) $0!

I'm probably close to the 100th person in line. Not looking good if some people are saving spots for their friends.

Update folks - I went to the Fairview Mall location and I was 26th in line. Arrived at 9:45am. They handed out Sears business cards with numbers. Fortunately I was number 100.

So its actually 50 per day vs 100 per day. Kind of misleading until you go and line up. However this location might have given 65-75 yesterday and 25 today.

Mom didn't get one but oh well.

Funny that more Asian people came running after the cards were handed out heh. I must be the only South Asia heh. Well time to come back at 11am

They actually gave out more than 100 today at the Carlingwood location in Ottawa. I was 100th inline. Didn't start out at 100, but slowly crept back while people let their friends in.

Well at the Fairview Mall location it was. When I arrived there were 24 people in front of me. I happened to get #100. That means 75 were handed out yesterday. Plus, I met two people who got theirs yesterday as #25 and #37.
