Intel slashed their prices, we should see some good competition from higher quality ssd's

Sorry! wrong article

http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/17/intel-pumps-ssd-330-capacity-up-to-240gb-trims-other-drives-pr/

There were no specifics, but newegg was the first one to drop their prices as a result.

Um...is the link supposed to show some kind of price slashing article, because it doesn't appear to. Its an article from 16th Apr describing release pricing. Do you have an updated link to slashed MSRP prices?

Would the 180gb fit in my DELL VOSTRO 3450 ?

Sometimes people say 7mm or 9.5mm, so I don't know

Thanks.

I believe VOSTRO 3450 comes with a 9.5mm drive, so the Intel 330 should fit fine as a replacement.

The drive size likely precludes these Intel 330's from installation in ultrathin notebooks, which yours isn't.

Here's a quick link to how one fellow (ziffbam) changed his (doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but worth it in the end?):

What is better quality, the Intel 330's or the Crucial M4's?

Only a few notebooks, mainly super thin ultra-books, need the smaller drives. Your clunky Vostro should be okay. :D
