I am considering buying one of these two
Mazda 3 2012 is demo and it has 10500 km on it but is fully loaded the Msrp is 24500 and without any negotiation the dealer offered me 22500 with 0% for 60 months this price includes destination and fright fees
So do you think if I negotiate I can get it for 21000?
The other one is new (2012)that has air cond and is automatic and the price before tax is 20600 again without any negotiation
So what do u think guys ?

I'm always a bit leery of demo cars - a demo Mazda 3 with 10500, those KM's are most likely hard driven km not highway granny toronto to montreal km's. We test drove the Mazda 3, Hyunda Elantra, Nissan Rogue, Hyundai Tucson. We LOVED the Mazda 3, but decided on the Tucson (more space, better driving position, easier to get kids in and out of, prefer hatchback). The rust issue on older Mazda 3's still bothers me and makes me nervous, but we really enjoyed he Mazda 3.
It's a decent deal - but it's not a new car. 1/6 of the warranty is up, and they are hard km. Maybe ask for an extended warranty?

Rust isn't as big of an issue out west, according some of my buddies with Mazdas. Less snow and salt. As for the demo, with 10500 km, isn't that considered a used vehicle? I thought anything over a few hundred kilometers was considered used. And a Black Book puts a used auto Mazda 3 Sport GS Sky with leather and power seats (didn't give a fully-loaded option) at $20,330 on its high trade-in value. If you give them 5% profit, that's $21,346.50.
But try for extended warranty or free servicing. Or more accessories.

Calling it a demo at 10km would raise my eyebrow. I don't know how the labeling of the year works for the Mazda3 but assuming the car arrived at the dealer in January, you got 6 months of usage.
To put 10,000 km into a car in half a year you would be driving it about 56 Km per day (assuming Sundays they are open).
Wow, those are some LONG and FAR "test drives".

You should ask yourself if you want a car or a CUV. It's quite different. Then make the decision.

For sure I'll ask for extended warranty if I go with Mazda but can you tell me about rust issue.
Also what is your experience with Tucson .

Love it so far. Like I said we drove a lot of different cars - Mazda 3 is better on fuel now than when I was looking. Mazda 3 has a horrible reputation for rusting out (go look at some used ones, brutal), hopefully they fixed it on the new ones. FWIW, my second car (2003 Focus) is BRUTAL in the paint peeling / rust department. Go talk to a Hyundai dealership and keep it for the night see how you like it. CUV's and mid-sized cars are two different vehicles - once you sit up high with great visibility it's hard to go back. Even loading the groceries is easier.

Valid point. It's BS to call it a new car at this point - it's a used car. I went to a Hyundai dealership years ago looking at the Elantra Touring (think I'm the only person in NA that likes them). They only had the "demo" car with 6000 or something km's. I'm like "oh nice how much of a deal on it then?". There wasn't one. I walked. Couldn't believe it.

Can I keep the car for a night, really? I thought you can jus test drive it for one hour or two
Does the extended warranty for Mazda covers the rust issue?
The Msrp for Tucson is 22900 and right now they have a promotion for 4000 is comes to 18900 before tax and fees do you think Icahn negotiate to get better deal ?

You should always blindfully trust your sale person, they are very honnest person who only care about getting what's best for you.

That is only way to make you believe it is true. Think about why the manager has to drive the brand new car over 10,000km. Can you give me any good reason?

They did for me, yes. I didn't ask either, they offered. Some dealers said it was the "law" they come with me for a test drive. Went to a Ford dealership, told him I was interested in the Fusion, he literally threw me the keys said have it back in a couple of hours. Law my ***** .

Don't tell me these things! Yes, you can negotiate more. Talk to Ting Ying at Richmond Hill Hyundai - I drove from Ottawa to Toronto to get mine, as my local dealer could only come within 500 bucks of him. Fire him an email he will give you invoice cost etc - beware he's a busy guy though.

Break the engine in for you. Don't have to do it yourself!

This.
If the salesperson is lying about that little bit (they are), what else are they trying to cover up?
Assuming 6 months of being a demo and 2 people a day driving it, that's ~350 people driving it, most of whom are going to be driving it hard with ZERO regard for engine break-in

Check out their new CX-5. That is a better comparison.
The demo price doesn't seem that great tbh. Push for more discounts if u like it. Personally I would get a new one with all the deals atm.
Best of luck!

Dealerships have testers... and they have demos that can also be used as testers..
A demo is typically driven by a member of the sales dept (mgr or sales guy) and it grounded at 10-15K depending on the car.
It can also go out on test drives from time to time.
I have sales people that live 40kms or more from our dealership so 10K could be as quick as 6 months or less.
OP if you are in the GTA, gimme a call, I will see if I can help you further on the 3.

i like the car, i liked driving it but the rust issue is worrying me to the point that even though i like the car i don't wanna buy it
