Hey folks, I got an email from mississauga bmw offering a 2012 328i w 6,000km on it for around 48.5k. It has the premium and executive package, bmw apps and extended bluetooth.

Premium includes:
navigation
comfort access

Premium includes:
rear view camera
harmon/kardon sound system
lumbar support

Any advice on how much lower you think I could get them to go on this?

They are posting it at $48650, if I build the vehicle online it comes to $49850. With 6000km on it there should be way more of a discount. I would think $40k, maybe $42k at most. But I'm not sure.

I'd be interested in leasing the car for 4 years as it comes with the 4 year maintenance package.

What do you think? I'm going into the dealership later today to talk with a sales rep.

That sounds like a horrible deal based on the numbers you've given.

You can easily negotiate 2k+ off the msrp easily for a car like that to begin with so offering 1k off a car that has 6000km that's probably been driven into the ground by everyone that's test driven it seems like a really bad deal.

Yeah I agree, that's why I'm thinking of offering $40k to start with. If it was driving by potential customers then that's a LOT of people driving the car.

Try $39K (no other sundry fees, except license) and get them to give you the excess wear & tear warranty.

$42K is too much. Don't even go there.

For what its worth I was in same boat only with 2010 TL about 18 months ago. I was tracking a 6 speed manual TL with tech package and then owner of Acura dealership came in to trade his TL for MDX for winter. It had only 5000km I jumped on it and began negotiating. 1 thing to remember, cash incentives if any still apply if it is demo or driven by exec. I received $7000 cash incentive at time for purchasing plus negotiated another $6000 off for it being slightly used plus got winter package on it plus 2 free oil changes. So $13000 off total...mind you your Beamer probably has no cash incentives I assume.

I could be wrong but I thought they do not soup up cars with all the bells and whistles for the average joe to drive off the street. This car judging by kms and what is in the car sounds like exec, manager etc drove it for a year. Just my opinion.

No sundry fees? As in PDI, Freight, Would any dealership sell without those?

they have to put it on peer but they still can discount vehicle for the amount of those fees and show they charged it.

that's the law. If the vehicle is not new, dealer cannot charge pdi/freight. But they can still charge you admin fee, wheel locks, nitrogen air, full tank of gas, vin etching, etc.

btw, i hope your price quoted is taxes included.

Actually, I would simply submit $39K OTR. Max. my 2 cents.

My buddy dealt with one of the sales there and they can be difficult to deal with. FYI.

Just stay within your number and prepare to walk. Just state your number and don't let them bully you.

Thanks for the tips, I'm going in at noon during my lunch. I've only got the hour to kill so if they don't agree quick I'll be out of there.

bah nothing happened! Stupid car was sold when I got there..

My next option was a Luxury model, fully loaded; they were willing to deal at cost plus 1%. it only have 300km on it so getting it lower wasn't going to happen.

I'm only interested in the sport model though...

I talked about ordering a 2013 model but it won't be here until Mid October... lol such a long wait.
