View Full Version : Does your youtube (Flash) keep crashing?

whenever i view youtube on FireFox or Chrome, the flash will crash after 2-3 mins....what the dill?
Anyone know how to solve this? It has never happened before and started happening a lot in the past 6 months
EDIT: Found a fix.
Use HTML5 for Chrome...Firefox not working yet.

It's a known problem that happens every now and then.
Here's a link of how to fix it, although I did it slightly differently. I disabled the OS flash and kept the Chrome flash. I then reinstalled both the OS flash (and maybe Chrome). Then I returned Chrome's flash settings back to the default. This seemed to work for me, but you might have to play around with it.

Of course, this only fixes the Chrome problem. If you also have a Firefox problem, it may be completely different.

Ok so i am using HTML5 for Chrome.
Not for Firefox. .
Firefox does not work.
Chrome works awesome now.

Most of Youtube's HTML 5 videos are in H.264 format. Firefox doesn't support that format, instead they support WebM For HTML 5 video. Only a small portion of Youtube's videos are available in WebM format.
There used to be a plug in to allow Firefox to play H.264. I'm not certain it still works, but it may be worth a try.
