1. Find out what will be on sale
2. Go to said store and find item
3. Hide item in washing machine/dryer or fridge
4. Return on sale day and find said item
5. Profit???

You mean Boxing Day don't you? I doubt we will see little more than the regular weekly sale at either BB or FS in a week...

The prices won't be any better but they will certainly capitalise on the "Black Friday" moniker to pretend there's great deals, so they can sucker ppl into the store to buy stuff.

Would be funny if you stuffed something into a washer or dryer though, if you see someone walking out with the same display model appliance as there were none left in stock. Bye bye to your hidden item and the appliance buyer gets a surprise when they get home and open the machine

You could also do what they did on an episode of Victorious--go in the store the night before and hide in similar places until it closes then you can get up in the am and hop out of your hiding place and beat everyone to the sale items LOL. Now if only that would actually work. There's a reason they put these ideas on zany kids shows, it's because no one in their right mind would try it in reality ;)

Great plan until you catch the attention of someone from Loss Prevention.

even if you know an employee at the store, they cannot hold stock for you for boxing day. All the door crasher items are counted and put in a cage usually. They have one person giving them to you AFTER you show them the item sheet that you received at the line up at the door before you go into the store.

This seems so obvious yet i never thought of it
Too bad this might not work for video games because they usually keep them in the glass case

how does it work for layaway? I know WM does that now. if you setup a layaway on the item now and return to 'pay it off' on Black Friday will they adjust it for you to get the new lower price?
