Second shooting tonight: This time at Jane and Bloor with two people injured
Three people are in hospital after they suffered gunshot wounds in two separate shootings in Toronto late Friday night, bringing the number of shooting incidents to five in as many days.
It's not known if Friday night's incidents are connected.
At about 11:30 p.m., two shooting victims were located at Bloor and Jane streets - one had been shot in an upper extremity, while the other had been shot in a lower extremity, Toronto EMS told CP24.
Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, EMS officials said.
It's believed the double shooting occurred near Alliance Avenue and Rockcliffe Boulevard, and the victims drove themselves or were driven to the intersection of Jane and Bloor, where they were met by police and paramedics.
One victim was reportedly shot in the arm, while the second victim was reportedly shot in the leg.
One person was taken into police custody at the scene, but it's not known if the person is facing charges.

If it is gang related everybody should just step back and let them knock each other out. Peace comes when one is left standing.

its no secret that there is a large population of guns in the jane & finch area, let alone in the community housing. Every community house & apartment should be subject to regular searches for guns and drugs. If the residents dont like it, then they can leave and go live in another city.
It is time for the taxpayer to take back the city.

Four people are in hospital after they suffered gunshot wounds in three separate shootings in Toronto in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of shooting incidents to six in as many days.
It's not known if these latest shooting incidents are connected.
The most recent shooting happened at around 4 a.m. Saturday in the Kennedy and Ellesmere roads area. A 43-year-old was reportedly shot twice in the stomach. His injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.
Hours earlier, at about 11:30 p.m., two shooting victims were located at Bloor and Jane streets - one, a 21-year-old man, had been shot in his arm, while the other, a 19-year-old man, had been shot in his leg, Toronto EMS told CP24.
In a press release issued Saturday morning, Toronto police described a suspect wanted in connection with the investigation as a dark-skinned man, in his late teens, standing five-foot-nine with a shaved head.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt.

I don't care about gang war, as long as it doesn't involve innocent people, I'm fine with it.
Go kill each other for all I care, not that those people pay tax anyway. Free up more government housing for people who need it.

as long as it stays in the ghetto, no action is needed. single mothers+absent fathers=gangstas=shootings. nothing new, it happens in the u.s, it'll happen here.
the eaton centre shooting happened 5 years after the jane creba. if incidents like that happen more frequently, than something has to be done. if you want to avoid being an innocent victim, it's probably wise to stay clear of caribana and yonge-dundas square during the festival.

It's true... I'm white and i used to live there. Hell i used to wander through connections, Driftwood ct, sentinel, romfield, the whole damn hood drunk as eff. No-one ever messed with me.
Everyone who has never lived there will tell you it's a scary place and you'll die because it's filled with urban market OG's.

it could bleed over into the "non-ghetto". I'd assume that the hunted will move around now and go to other parts of the city, and that's maybe how the Eaton Centre shooting likely occurred
I wouldn't see it as something that is ignored. They should at least do a gun sweep across Jane n Finch and the other areas

This kind of rise in violent correlate with the rise of youth demographic of certain ages.
Every few years there are spike in crime and violence follow by a steady decline, and the cycle repeat again.
