Any good high speed Internet promos with Rogers?

My Rogers Internet contact will expire next month. I am currently getting the express service with a 20% discount and free modem rental. So it comes up to $39 .19 before taxs. I want to renegotiate or see if I can get a better pricing. Any ideas?

What about an alternate cable provider like Teksavvy or Start Communications?

If you have cable tv with them, they may offer you 75% off your internet, but on 2-year contract.

I called retentions and they asked me what other companies I have called to shop around for the internet and what deal they provided. I lied and said that my husband was looking around and I don't know the specifics. They said that if I don't tell them who I called and what they offered me...he can't offer me a betterdeal. So...I just wanted to know if anybody else out there came across a good deal so I have something to tell them.

Honestly, I just said other companies are offering me better speeds at a lower price and Rogers just isn't cutting it. When you sound confident that you know about what you're talking about, they'll cave easily. I ended up with the 70% off 2-year Exterme deal. Comes to around $20 a month but they removed by extra 10% discount with TV that I usually get. It's still cheaper regardless.
