criminology - police force

I'm a soon to be grade 12 student and I want to work in the police force. Id like to work for the opp or RCMP not just a normal police job. After doing some research I found that I should study criminology. What is the best university to study that in Toronto? Also would I need anything else besides criminology? I've heard from a lot of people that you don't always get into the police force so what are some other careers you can have with a criminology degree? Thanks

Criminology degree will not guarantee you a job. There are hundreds of other things they look at during the hiring process such as life experience, credit history, volunteering, work experience. You may be dumb as a rock with high school diploma and still end up in RCMP. Major requirement is the age, so don't bother applying if you are not 25 yo yet (unless your uncle or step mother's neighbor's step son works there who can hook you up).
