Canada Post Problem

I ordered a laptop from ebay
Friday lunch i received a delivery notice about the package
went to the shoppers drug mart listed to pick up the item at 6pm
1. i was told that it doesnt have time on the notice when you can pick it up which is ODD
2. your item is not yet here
3. maybe at 8pm
4. called at 8pm instead and its not yet there
5. called yesterday at 12pm and its not yet there

here is my tracking details

My package is once again at the postal facility
my fear is that its going back to sender.... CANADA POST HOTLINE doesnt have any clue why is it in the postal facility again, and just created a ticket number!!!

There are two options:


Pick up after 5pm same day
Pick up after 1pm next day

99% of the time it's pick up next day after 1pm. Just because the person filled out the card saying same day, doesn't mean it will be there. The shoppers has no rule to do it same day, and if it ever is, it should be considered a common courtesy .

And if the tracking says "dropped off at postal facility" that just means the carrier dropped it off there, and it still has to be brought into the system on the receivers side. Never trust the tracking, lol

i have the delivery notice FRIDAY

1. I went at 6pm to pick it up same day but its not there
2. i called shoppers at 8pm and its still not there
3. i called shoppers at 12pm and its still NOT THERE


so i called CANADA POST HOTLINE
i was told the following
1. it was sent to shoppers and she said maybe shoppers made a mistake sending it back thinking its for shipping thats why its in postal facility again

my question is
if the postman left me DELIVERY NOTICE, why did he return my item back to postal facility and not to shoppers?
i was hoping i could pick it up SATURDAY since i got the notice FRIDAY but to no avail

#1) Some stations can return the carded items to their home station, instead of taking it to shoppers drug mart, and someone else takes it all there.
#2) I just noticed you're from Winnipeg, the first station to go through the postal transformation, and the one with the most issues.

Also, some Retail outlets dont let you pick items up on the weekend, so you might have to wait until Monday.


Next time, be home or have the item shipped to your work.

The delivery notice was in the mailbox and not outside my door.

Well i guess i really have to wait till monday

Theres always a first time anyways :)

Its just the yanks keeps on telling me that the postman cant be trusted and that he might have stole the package

They are telling you that so they can scam you (either sending out another product to them, or they don't send a product to you)

Can you not read the notice card they left for you? I swear It tells you when the pick up Is available.
The mailman Is probably running late so he'll drop the package off at the Shoppers at a later time? I recall seeing the mailman at like 4PM sometimes and even that I don't think he's at the end of his route yet.

I have been waiting for two days and called the post office at least twice a day to ask about my package, but same answer "the item havnt been received yet"

I really have no idea, why its taken so long to "prepare to ship my package to the local postoffice" totally pissed off
