What are you? CTV? Anderson Cooper? Who gave you a job in the Situation Room?
Breaking? You just make yourself look silly.

Breaking news means they don't want you to think that they've overlooked it or that they're not too far behind Twitter but that they don't have full details yet.
Twitter never really goes beyond the breaking news stage on anything, so I guess you could call it their Twitter mode.
Breaking news can be serious, such as possible rainfall this afternoon due to severe thunderstorm watch for your area, or less serious like hundreds massacred in Syrian civil war.

Methinks he's referring to the guy who posts in Off-Topic with threads titles that go "** Breaking News **" such as:

and
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/breaking-multiple-shootings-scarborough-many-25-shot-two-dead-1203564/

Apparently Dale thinks that fluoridation in our water supply (http://forums.redflagdeals.com/toronto-water-contains-fluoride-1205556/) is also "Breaking News" - he just didn't title his thread that way.

Oh, the irony.

I agree with the Breaking News, it's pretty stupid. Breaking News would mean its' not really mentioned anywhere else, right? If you're already a day behind, it's not really Breaking.
