Yup. It's too bad that laws here give more justice to the criminals than the victims.

Actually a new law just passed that you are LEGALLY allowed to do a citizen arrests now.

you can do citizen arrests before as well. how do you think security guards get to arrest people with no policing power? lol. the new law made the existing procedure more lenient as to not punish the person trying to commit the arrest. all you need for a citizen arrest to be made is for you to witness the crime directly OR be asked by another person for help in committing the arrest because they were the primary witness of the crime. Then theres the rights you have to read and so forth. In the states though, gun crime is ridiculous compared to here so the owners having spray and guns on hand is normal.

Is the laws in Quebec any different from the rest of Canada?? I think that Toronto Police are just a***hats and it has nothing to do with the law..
