The price match on this store was not respected. I asked to price match this toaster oven with an amazon.ca that advertised $99 dollars less.
If you read their policy. There is no place saying that they will charge you "next day delivery" if they do the price match. Also they will not do price match if you buy it online either. Mr. Moez Srioui Sales Manager of Montreal Forum Futureshop was kind enough to let me know that was him the so called "some restrictions apply". So is up to the store manager to execute the policy. He did not. Customer has not the last word, the middle man has it.

FUTURESHOP if he's right and is on manager discretion to apply such policy, then please put in in writing some where is visible and don't brag about having the best price because that is misleading.

Have you tried to do a price match with them?
Please share you're experience.

Competitors’ prices must be in Canadian dollars and will be adjusted for any fees, taxes or other charges such as environmental handling fees and shipping.

It's posted on their site and in store...

Single post wonder! So what is the over/under on if the OP returns?

As stated, they mention that when they PM, they consider all external fees. This is why in the past most stores have refused to PM online vendors as they didn't want to have to consider shipping charges in the PM.

Honestly, if you want to avoid all hassle just get it from the place who sold it cheapest to begin with.

Never had issue doing a price-match at Futureshop. Obviously they won't match an online price that requires you to pay shipping.

FS has price-matched a few times for me with no hassle.

Do you really expect them to price match something that's subject to shipping and/or other fees without factoring those fees into the cost of the item?

And of course they're going to factor in the fastest (typically the most expensive) shipping option from the competing retailer. After all, it's available for immediate pickup at the store.

I wonder what people who expect to PM without having shipping factored in would say if either Future Shop or Best Buy agreed to match the online price but told them to come back and pick the product up in a week since free shipping is often the slowest possible method. I would love to see the rant on that.

He was trolling.

He trolled you.

Future Shop stores operate as a division of Burnaby-based Best Buy Canada Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Best Buy Co., Inc.

Everybody knows that...

Anyways maybe his post was just plain ignorance. I tend to overestimate people's cognitive abilities (not refering to you jimbo lol).
