Soundblaster Tactic360 Headset..... PC question

so I just bought this headset thinking it would be a good choice to take between 360 and PC for usage

however the audio cable on it is so short that it literally isn't possible to be used a PC

is there any way to get it to work on PC with the included USB amplifier for the 360?

I'm not quite familiar with the Tactic360 (I have the Tactic3D) but is the end connection analog with a USB adapter, or is the end simply a USB? You could always just use a USB extension. Or, you could exchange the Tactic360 for the Tactic3D and get the best of both worlds for PC/360. But you may still need to use an extension.

edit: just re-read your post, shouldn't it just be plug/play on your PC?

Sorry about the bump but would like to know as well if it's possible to use the amplifier on PC.

Edit: I got it to work by using a wired Xbox controller, attach to PC and follow the connection setup as if an Xbox. All functionality seem to work on PC as it would Xbox.
