It's for home use, mainly school homework and miscellaneous stuff.
I'm looking at NCIX but there are too many models, I'm confused.
My budget is around $80.

Brother HL-2270DW gets my endorsement. It's often $90 on sale with a 700 page starter toner kit.
HOT:
Super rock solid printing function for homework and miscellaneous stuff.
Dedicated slide in paper tray that can hold a 250 page stack.
Extremely rarely has issues or paper jams.
Relatively fast PPM printouts!
Wireless printing so you can shove this printer anywhere convenient! (Albeit after slightly complicated set up)
Automatic duplex! (Also toner save mode and booklet mode for draft previews of .pdf, term papers.)
You can buy a high yield toner that will handle 2600+ pages for under $30 on ebay!
NOT:
Not a multi-function so no fax, copying, reading flash memory cards, and such but I actually like that it does only one thing really well.
Doesn't do colour.
Lack of fine tune controls and bells and whistles in terms of hardware buttons.
Overall, it's freaking great for basic student/small business use. If I ever need colour laser print outs I'll just head to a Kinko's or something.

This one seems like a good deal ... $89.99 ... http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=14555&vpn=MFC7220&manufacture=Brother&promoid=1261
and the aftermarket replacement toner is relatively cheap too ... http://www.123inkcartridges.ca/brother-toner-cartridge/TN350.html

I'm in the market too with around same budget ($120?)
I'd prefer a relatively cheap to maintain laser printer with working wireless networking and colour. High PPM would be nice too.
Samsung would be good if possible. I'm just looking for a good deal. I heard there is one with a moddable firmware so you could infinitely refill the cartridge/toner.

Agree with other posters about Brother printers, and the HL2270DW in particular. My girlfriend has this one and likes it.
One thing not mentioned yet is the cost of replacement toner cartridges. Brother toner refills from a third-party source are very economical, which means the operating cost of their printers is low. The cost of ownership should always be considered when choosing a printer.

What about this one, can anyone recommend this multi-function colour laser printer? Seems like a good price.
