My N7 had a slight screen separation issue on the left side. It was raised slightly at the center and the most of the left side felt squishy when I pressed down on it. I attempted this trick yesterday and now the separation is gone and it feels completely solid.
Step 1: Heat up the N7. I used an app called StabilityTest (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.into.stability&hl=en) to stress both the CPU & GPU.
Step 2: Put pressure on the screen with something flat/heavy to make it flush with the casing. I laid three textbooks on top of it with a microfibre cloth underneath just in case some ink came off the bottom book.
Step 3: Let it run for 2 hours.
Step 4: Remove books, turn off the N7.
Step 5: Put books back on, then let it sit for another 2 hours while it cools down.
The adhesive holding down the screen re-melts and then solidifies with the panel in the proper place. I read about this method in an obscure post on XDA forum except the user played Transformers (which actually doesn't heat it up much when I tried it) and used a vise (which was a little hardcore for my tastes). Hope this helps.
