So, after many years I'm still searching for a light weight media player/organizer for Windows.
I need something to primarily monitor folders for new video files and playback of every file type. Streaming is an optional extra.
I used (and purchased) J. River MC (v 15 at the time). It was a bit of a disaster. Very unstable, monitoring doesn't work consistently, app crashes or gets stuck at least in W7 64 (tried on 2 PCs with similar results). But I like the concept on paper. Is there anything similar to J. River Media Center?
For playback I use kmplayer so no big deal if the playback facilities are handicapped.
