So if you stay for more then 24 hours but less than 48 hours you are entitled to $200 exemption, on anything except tobacco/alcohol right?


Do you have to include TAX too? i.e. do I subtract the cost of item from the tax when trying to calculate how much I am exempt from?

btw, how likely is it that i'll get caught if I don't decide to do the 24 hour thing?

The amount includes US taxes and you should also need to convert the amount to Canadian dollar although it is more or less on par right now.
