Home security Alarm----Self install

Hi all
I am thinking of getting this for my home as I am away from my home alot, every other weekend.... I do not want to pay for the monitoring just a loud alarm will do the job for me. I know that there are quite a few available on EBay but I need your advice/recomendations of some sort. I think to go for a Wireless one would be easier to install... Have you used any of these or bought for someone else?
The reson for not having it monitored as I have good relation with my neighbours and a loud noise will be enough for my nieghbours and thieves also.....

You have too much faith in your neighbours, do they investigate car alarms?

If not, they won't bother with your home alarm - if they can even hear it.

As a matter of fact I do... One wekeend I was away with my family and my motion sensor lights came on (Backyard) as they were set to high sensetivity and my neighbour thought that someone is in the baqckyard as they knew that we are not home and everyone jumed with knives in their hands and started searching for the suspect/s.... o:)........
I think YOU do not have good expereince with your neighbours.... Good neighbour/s are blessing and trust me if one has bad neighbour the life is hellllll///
