View Full Version : Does family history play a part in the gender of my baby

I know the sperm determines if the baby is going to be a girl or boy but does his family history play a part in it as well.

OH: Great Grandfather: Had 8 sons ( two who were stillborn) 3 daughters (one was still born)
Grandfather: Had 8 sons and 2 daughters
Father: Had 4 boys (boyfriend is one of them)

My Side: Great Grandfather: (Dads side) Had two girls and one boy
Grandfather: twin sons (one is my dad) and two daughters (one was stillborn)
Father: two sons and one daughter (me)

Sex not gender.

And it is the man who gives either the X or Y chromosome so your history would be irrelevant.
Regardless there is a 50/50 chance

Just hope for a happy healthy baby
