WTH? So we can't bring them back home? LOL.

International orders are intended for use in the U.S., and it is assumed that products will be used in the U.S.*

This is one of the reasons goods are more expensive in Canada. The suppliers have different "zones" with different prices. They don't want people from Canada buying from the US. Ergo US Retailers have strong pressure not to sell internationally. Suppliers localize things like warantees as well to try and prevent items from crossing zones.

I think they predicted the need to protect that business model a long time ago. When online stores first started popping up you could import things from any online US store. Then all of a sudden most of them stopped.

I do this all the time with Best Buy US. Been doing it for over a year now....Store pickup is easiest, but in cases where there is no store stock, I just get the item shipped to my PO Box.

This is not new. I frequently find that Bestbuy.com prices are higher than Bestbuy.ca prices or at least on the items that I have been looking at. Of course, the US site has alot of stuff the Canadian site lacks.

This has been announced a few years ago and not a good deal for me.

I see. It's not even on the Hot Deals Forum. :)
