Has anyone used these batteries? How to they stack up to other alkaline batteries?

These are the cheapest alkaline batteries I've seen around.

48-pack AA is $7.88
48-pack AAA is $9.88

Looks like it's the house brand of XS Cargo.

I just recently finally learned the difference between heavy duty and alkaline batteries.

It seems like all the value packs of batteries from dollar stores are heavy duty batteries, so not as good as alkaline. I think you can get 8-AA per dollar or so.

But these Power XT batteries are almost as cheap at 6 AA batteries per dollar, and they're alkaline.

Question is, are they better than dollar store batteries, and if so, how much worse are they than your standard contenders (Duracell, Energizer, Kirkland, Infinicell, Rayovac, etc)?

Brand name batteries are better constructed, tested, and may have slightly higher capacity.

But really, for 1/2 the cost the above factors should not be a concern for the average home owner.

Just buy a pack, 8.00 is nothing to part with ...
