Hi, I am planning to buy the q5 after the test drive of bummer x3 and q5.
I just want to find out what would be the fair price for the q5 premium plus trim? I tried to find the invoice price from some free report sites, I don't think these sites are telling me the true.
Anyone has bought a q5 recently? Can you share your experience? Would $3000 off the MSRP be a good deal?
Thanks

from what i know or what the Audi salesrep told me when i got the A4, he said he was 'honest' and told me that 7% is the furthest they can go. but that is with zero comission. (7% is the leeway they have) i got my offer to around 4.7% off MSRP I think.
make sure you ask them to throw in the mats..
also don't get sucked in like i did. They told me my car was in kitchener and they were going to charge me $400 on delivery charge unless i would drive there and pick it up myself. the sales rep ended up splitting the $400 to get it delivered to the DT location.
^honetsly i think it was a sales tactic and i was such an idiot to let it happen. I should have threaten to walk out but the service i got from teh DT Audi was much better than uptown Audi.
I think i got a e-mail or mail form Audi saying they'll throw in the Audi care package also.
Message a forum member r1lee or Audidude.. I THINK it was one of them that had a certificate for $1500 off for new car purchases and he was willing to give it away for half the price. (he drives an Audi R8 i think) I can't remember which forum member it was but he hangs around in the Whats your favourite watch thread >__>

That's probably r1lee with the R8. I'd recommend speaking/Private Messaging Alex Fretes who works at Audi of Mississauga, his profile is here: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/members/afretes-234734/

Whats wrong with uptown Audi(unionville?)?
They tried to sell me a CPO car that had $15k worth of accident repairs, for one thing.

As i've said, service was much better DT than uptown...I walked in and they instantly talked and looked down on me. Thinking I was too young and can't afford it(that's the best way to describe what i was feeling). Didnt give any inputs or vaguely answered my specific questions. no offers of water/or coffee after sitting down for so long talking about teh car (which DT Audi did and more)
and here's the best part that i've found what uptown does. they are willing to beat the price of whatever DT Audi was offering.
I had a lady at the time. apparently she was the best salesrep there as she was bragging about it etc etc. but yeah, she gave me that uncomfortable feeling. No idea what it was, but we didn't click. Talked to another sales rep in uptown as i was going to give it one last try before i made the purchase..and still got the same feelings from the sales rep there - they dont really care about the cars, they just wanted to sell, sell sell. (which i get, it's their job) (scarborough Audi..just no deals there lol)

3 years on the Q5 is still selling like hotcakes.. or they make it sound like it is. The sense I get is that most GTA dealers are not willing to bargain on this trucklet. My father in law ended up going to Hamilton to get his.

what MY are we talking about ? What city/province are you from ?
MY2013, Alex said the ordering guide is still not out yet. As for what's a fair price ? It's not up to you to say, it's up to the dealer wanting you to pay, if you want one. But realistically, if you offer 4% off the list for MY2013, you are already laughing, if dealer accepts.

X3 and q5 are both selling well.... X3 is selling more, but q5 is more "in demand", simply because they have more x3 in stock.....

I drove the X3, the ride was not as smooth as the Q5, and the engine was noiser... The X3 electronic AWD is much better than the old Quartro technology on the Q5.

the new X3 is not cheaper than Q5.... and i don't think there are any great deals for both ~
