Processor Speed 2 GHz
Number of Processors 1
Total Number of Cores 2
L2 Cache (per Procesor) 4 MB
Memory 1 GB

I think it has a 17" screen. purchased new in 2007. Not sure on the hard drive - let's say 250GB (Edit: 250GB confirmed). Not sure on the DVD or CD drive.

My grandma just bought a new iMac and has left it up to me to try and get some value out of this one on the local kijiji. The store offered $100 trade-in, but I assume that's a little low. I can try and find out more info about the machine if needed, just let me know.

I know little about Macs, so I would appreciate any feedback and thoughts. Thanks.

Mac2sell says about $290. You could probably get another $50 in a private sale. iMacs don't hold their value as well as MacBooks.

LOL! I love the way you use a Mac book as a resale value reference point! You should have said " They have a substantially higher resale value than Windoze boxes of the same vintage, because they don't suck"

Or because they cost 2x-4x as much as an equivalent non-apple system?

Thanks mike007. That mac2sell site gives me an idea at least - very handy. Might list it for $300 or $350 and see if anyone responds to the kijiji ad.
