Just as the title says...The drive was tagged at $99.99 and scanned in at $89.99. There was a 50% clearance discount which brought the drive down to $44.99

Can't find it online but its a 1TB USB 2.0 Hard Drive with 2 years warranty from LG.

Happy Hunting!

Unfortunately, Staples clearance discount varies at different stores. So, it's a huge YMMV.

Mostly a 25% off on Technology department , furniture a max of 10% off, office supplies 50% off , if you're really lucky some manager can go up to 50% or even 75%off just to clear those items off their tables and inventory. YMMV , just wish yourself luck before stepping in a Staples store.

There's no info about sku. Which store has 50% on HD?

The location I went to had 2 more left. And another Seagate 500gb USB 3.0 hard drive for $79.99 minus 50%. Didn't get that one as this was $5 more for double the space and I can't take advantage of USB 3.0 anyways...updating OP with pictures...I left my receipt in the car and don't feel like getting that at the moment.

The 2 in Markham also have them at $99.XX. They aren't found at the clearance table. They're kept at the back (front) with number-pad locked doors where the PC service centre is located. One of the associates told me I was too late (like 2 weeks late, he said that they had some 1 TBs for $50, and a few 500 GBs at $10).

all these 'cheap' stooples external drives are YMMV,hunting expeditions and being lucky! just buy your own 3.0 enclosure and bare HD/cheap ssd! one of these days a 2.5 inch 3.0usb enclosure should go for 10bucks at NCIX or ME! can't remember how cheap i got mine for ,it was a netgear brand 3.0usb closure for cheap few months back

Hey deal_with_singh... I just got this same drive on Saturday (on their customer appreciation days with 10% off) at 89.99 less 10% before seeing your post. Can you please post your receipt so that I can try to get a difference refund?

Thank you.

Checked locally (Victoria BC) and was told by a staff member that the District Manager policy is not to discount items already on clearance. Apparently the Store Manager got in trouble for discounting some clearance items. Not sure if this is accurate information but it might explain why my local stores never seem to have any additional discounts on clearance hardware.

Just picked one up at Argentia/Winston Churchill location. Scanned in at 89.97+ tax. lots left at that location. There was no addtional discount as OP experienced. They had 1tb (Both usb 2 and 3), 500gig and 750gig.

Did not ask for discount, just was applied automatically.

A store in Calgary is taking 75% off technology? That's a great price on both the SD cards and the Hard Drives. What store was that?

I'm going to be in Edmonton and Slave Lake on Friday

Will check out what any of the Staples there will have to offer.

Thanks. That's actually close by. Did they have any more clearance hard drives left other than the Seagates? Might drop in sometime tomorrow and see since I'm looking for one.

I think I grabbed the last 2 off the shelf. :o

Did not look for other drives, just saw yellow clearance stickers with $99.97 and thought that was a good price.
The shocker was when I went to pay for everything.

There were no clearance bins, just regular end displays.
