So trying to do something for my mom's balcony as her birthday present this week, but due to the size of the balcony the Platta deck tiles from ikea is out of the question since it would cost around $600.....My budget is around $200 max for the floor as I will spend more on the furniture for the balcony and plants.
Would love some ideas for the floor....it's currently just concrete.

200 / 150 is only a 1.33 per square foot... Fake grass?

Stick-on fake tile?
Doesn't Costco also carry those interlocking wood/fake wood pieces too? Not sure how much those cost.

Ducan vinyl deck covering from Home Depot.

They are cheaper, but ultimately we spent more on the deck by buying their Envirotile instead. We didn't like the idea of it possibly repeeling every few years and having to reseal it. But I think in this case, what you pay for is what you get.

Any comment on deck vaneers? It's to be used on top of existing deck, so this should work on concrete? http://lowescanada.shoplocal.com/lowescanada/default.aspx?action=detail&flashbrowse=y&storeid=2566270&rapid=1733632&pagenumber=10&listingid=-2059010755&ref=%2flowescanada%2fdefault.aspx%3faction%3dbrows epageflash%26storeid%3d2566270%26pagenumber%3d10%2 6rapid%3d1733632%26prvid%3dlowescanada-772512

That wouldn't work directly on top of concrete, it's meant to go over top of existing 6" boards, it's not a flat product, it "wraps" over the 6" board. They are around 1/4" to go over the old boards.

Not sure if you're looking more comfort or utility, but what about garage flooring? I know there are tiles that are sort of like the connect-a-mat for in-house play areas. Or Costco has a vinyl flooring cover that u can cut to ur specs. Except it has the diamond tread pattern.
